Tricia Speid, M.Ed. is a coach, facilitator and trainer who helps individuals and organizations create the conditions needed to see results and thrive.

I believe we are capable of transcending our limitations as human beings if we truly value, respect, and love each other. Perhaps, the countless hours I spent as a child, soaring toward the sky in my mango tree on the sunny island of Jamaica, allows me to conjure up this ideal. I grew up in a village led by two amazing matriarchs - my Grandmother and Grand Auntie - who instilled in me an appetite and value for love, integrity, connection, and courage. My community nurtured and shaped me, cell by cell, to know that I have the power to create change in my life and in the world. It is this foundation that drives my spirit to end oppression in all forms. These values serve as the grounding from which I work and walk in this world.

As a Black, queer, immigrant woman, mother of two multi-racial children, and the first person in my family to attend college, the insight I have gained through my own journey is my superpower in helping others remove obstacles in their path to freedom. My work weaves a deep understanding of racial justice with the power of authentic relationships.

My graduate work in Teaching and Educational Leadership at the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of California, Berkeley, combined with my 25 years of experience as a Social Justice educator and facilitator, has taught me that powerful, lasting change occurs when people feel trusted, valued, respected, and heard. I extend an invitation to work with you to heal, grow, and transform our limitations into a world where we can be all free, personally, institutionally, and structurally.
